The very first thing I loved about this book was it’s name, Psychaotic, I love the idea behind it.
Psychaotic revolves around the feelings of an ordinary heartbroken person who struggles to survive in this world. What I like about this dark dark book is that it not only talks about the suicidal (and homicidal) urge of a rejected soul but it also mentions hope after hopelessness. The poems ‘Impossible him‘, ‘Tumbling’, ‘Tides of sanity’ (and many more from this book) make the reader feel that the author knows all the secrets of his/her heart. My personal favorite poem ‘Defend your wrongs’ encourages the reader to be original and experience everything by himself. After reading this poem I was like, “Oh somebody finally put that in words!”
‘Beautiful‘ would be the word I would say if somebody asked me to describe this book in one word. I am desperately waiting for Irum Zahra’s next book. I wish her all the love and happiness in this world. God bless you!

And what if I write about a middle aged dusky brunette? With black squint eyes laden with dark shadows and face covered with wrinkles? and rough hands with poorly clipped nails? what if I feature such person in my tales who does not own fancy laced dresses rather wears the ragged scruffy grey skirt with patches of taut leather to keep it in one shape? and a path choked by untrimmed branches and rocks leads to her cottage?” he asked in a cold voice while he smirked a little. His one brow raised a little higher than the other and his lips making a pout as if he took a sip of strong vinegar. Sitting on the coffee stool with his arms folded on his chest, he glared at Jensen. His words were followed by a deep grave silence.
Jensen looked at Nash whose words were pounding hard in his mind. What was the thing that Nash was trying to mention under cover. For he had just admired his work by saying that,” had you not mentioned all those beautiful landscapes and woven the details about the heavenly features of the village girl. Your book would have been a cracked egg.”
Jensen always wrote about fantasy. His stories used to envision the perfect Juliet for one. He scribbled about the flawless beauties. His words rich with the poetic description of his characters were a lethal weapon to capture the attention of the readers. He was admired, he was loved and above all he was venerated for the perfect writings in which he framed the harsh realities of life merged within the perfections and personas with glamour. But his stories were so perfect even without mentioning the lope holes of the lives of his characters ? Like the bloom is so beautiful without the touch of autumn leaves.. But then we know that every bloom covers up for the wrinkled dried old autumn leaves. So maybe his fiction perfections were also covering some lope holes of the characters…or maybe his own life? But who would ever think so deep ? who would think about the soul behind the pen ? When you read a verse , you drink the words, wear the cloak of expressions and try to sink in the depths of the sentiments associated to that verse relating to your life. But the writer? you never think about him. The people who read Nash’s work probably had the same thick approach. They also embraced the spell of his words and perceived their lives in a different manner. But every time the tale came to an end their perception about life changed in a peculiar manner. And same was with Nash, every time he wrote a story, his own life was re written. But was there anyone to search about the soul ? was there anyone who for once did care about what made his writings so soulful , so honest, so profound..?? what made fiction so realistic?? Perhaps no one.. But the answer was only with one person , Nash himself..
Silence had canopied them and they both were travelling far in their own constellations of memories.
A small cough made Nash come out of his thoughts. He looked up, Jensen was standing close to him. Discerning his expressions, fathoming his thoughts. But his face was like a cryptic maze.
“Nash when you said about writing the tales featuring the mainstream and disliked features.. what was that you meant to say ?” Jensen asked slowly. Nash looking at the wall with a misty expression spoke in a small dejected voice,” these people out there.” as he spoke he walked towards the window and jerked his head towards outside. He continued,” they like fantasy, they want to see perfection. They like the stories that can never happen in reality. But they put their faith in them. But you know there is always one person out of these million who does drink the draught of words. And visualizes in a divergent manner.” his breaths running faster. And his heart thumping hard against his chest. But Jensen stood muddled . He could not understand what Nash was trying to say. Waited for Nash to complete the answer.
” there is no perfection in this world Jensen. Not even near to perfection . we are flawed. We all have dark centers in our lives , we hide from the world. But you know when we write. We write the tales having everything just so perfect in it. The environment, the people everything is just perfect. you know why ? Because we write our realities in a blend of what the world wanted . We write down the truth in fusion with the lies, the world tell us. We write about the handsome romeo and the stunning Juliet just because for us they are always perfect because we perceive them so. Because for every fiction character there is a real human being living , a part of the writers life…and the writer perceives them as perfect, with his own eyes , in his mind through his own heart. Though she maybe a middle aged squint eyed , rough, ragged brunette..They are perfect in ways the world never knows..” Nash was now silent. The answer was given. The truth remain unleashed.
There is no such thing as fiction in this world, everything we read in fairy tales carries a piece of soul of the writer. Every fiction is real, happening somewhere around in the world. It maybe a part of someone’s mind or perhaps someone’s life. That’s the beauty of fiction..that is the beauty which molds a poor old scruffy village girl an admired persona by thousands…so before you think about the perfection related in a fiction saga, drink the words and walk in the shoes of the writer . Maybe the thing you are considering as top notch is just top notch from the writers lens.

And sometimes you have to face the disasters not like that they come and go,but periodically,to break and shatter your whole being. And worst are the ones that keep you stuck and you holding the rope of hope and waiting for your pieces to come back to you again and fit in the right places and in this wait you are sometimes a lot strong and sometimes more fragile with the uttering of venomous words or the dead silence, with the strange deserted barrenness after destruction in eyes that now what more bad can happen or the eyes raining down feelings so heavily, with the heart so empty or densely crowded and with the mind so sane or psychotically insane..

You are in between and this in between causes an effect, not to be among !!

Moments unprecedented

Times unexpected

Guest uninvited

Surprise visits

Causes undefined

Reasons unspecified

Beginning unmarked

Closure apart

Rationale failed

Logic un-entertained

Composure gone

Consolations forgotten

Suddenly, unreasonable

Unwanted, unintentional

Inevitably arrive

Tears unidentified!

Stop inflicting your
Pains on me,
I didn’t ask you
To reside in my body
you did it yourself
So now just
Get lost or do
Whatever you want,
Stop complaining that
I don’t pay heed
To your worries; I do
Because, I’m
Utterly sensitive.
You’ve induced me
To throw away my
Stuff toys as u wanted
Me to grow up,
I fed your cravings
All the time, but
You provoked me
More to kill
The child out of me
And I did so,
Now please,

let me live.

I want to live
Just one more

  • Omer, Introduce yourself to the people who don’t?

I’m an Islamabad based Photographer and I used to do corporate events and weddings. Later on, I jumped into Fashion Photography. I own a Production house called Roadcrew media; along my partner Fahim Farid.

  • When did you know you can capture life and moments into cameras?

Life teaches you things in its own ways. Back in 2009, I was going through worst phases of my life; I wouldn’t speak to anyone. So, I bought myself a DSLR camera and started clicking. I had a passion of collecting pictures of sceneries, cars, bikes, celebrities, sports and all, since my teenage years. Therefore, the depression phase gave me a chance to get into the art of taking pictures. I started off with it as a hobby. A Year later, I was earning from it.

  • What is the earliest photo you took?

From the DSLR, it was picture of my son who was 3 years old then.

  • Are you proud of what you do?

Alhamdulillah, I’m proud of what I am today. God has been very kind to me with all the respect I have gained through my photography!

  • What are the problems faced by Photographers in Pakistan?

Photographers are not well paid in Pakistan. In addition to that, People still don’t give respect to photographers. That needs to change if we want our industry to grow.

  • How do you manage business with life?

It’s getting quite tough for me now, as I am managing 4 different businesses now. I hardly give time to family and friends!

  • Why is photography common in Pakistan?

I think, 10 years back, the media was not very open to the public. Plus, the DSLR cameras weren’t in budget. Now you can buy a DSLR in range of Rs. 50,000/- . Last but not the least, the glamour is attracting the young generation, so they commence photography without knowing the basics of it.

  • How do you explain the relation between lens and Life?

Lens is a best object to capture moments in life; Good or bad, Decent and Indecent, pure and impure, Right or wrong.….  Every image depicts a story of life and Lens save that moment in time when these things interact.

  • What is the most memorable event you covered?

In 2013, I was called by a Lahore based fashion show organizer company. They hired my services for a fashion tour in different states of USA. It went for 3 weeks. It was one of most memorable trips and events I covered that gave me a boost into fashion Industry.

  • What are of art do you want to discover in your future projects?

I’m learning more of light techniques in outdoor shoots; as that is the current trend nowadays.

  • What projects are you working on?

I’m more into fashion industry, hence taking on more of fashion shoots and Bridal shoots along with other creative works like covering art galleries, Literature exhibitions and such.

  • How is PR related to your goodwill?

PR is everything in this society now. You get more projects if you have better PR than others.

  • The most embarrassing moment of your photography career?

A few months back, I covered a wedding event. I was hired by the bride herself. Her parents had the old thought of pictography. They wanted the group pictures and all people staring in the camera, while being clicked. Whereas, I’m known as the photographer who clicks the best candid pictures and well, they became quite harsh with me, and told me that I don’t even know how to take pictures. Their daughter came to my rescue later. It was funny too!

  • Do you think painting pictures and Taking pictures are two arts of the same purpose?

Yes, I believe these are two different types of art. A painter visualizes scenery or feelings in human and depicts it into his own thoughts and paints it. Whereas, a photographer clicks what he sees through his lens.

  • Who is your international Photography crush?

Oh that is a long list. There are so many talented people in the world. Osman Ghani, Said Muhammad & Pravin Talan would make the top of the list.

  • If there was/is/will an event you would want to cover somehow, what would it be?

I want to cover the next Moon Landing! It would be such a spectacular moment for life and this world. I want to capture it’s beauty and anticipation.

  • Every photographer wants this one portrait shoot, of his/her way and heart. If you were to choose, who will you capture through your camera?

Well, there are so many. But If I had to choose, I would want to shoot Amitabh Bachan, Imran Khan and Salma Hayek . All three are the world’s most sought after public figures. Plus, they have done so much to influence the world. It would be an honor to see them and capture them in the lens.

  • What is your message to the world?

Live and let others live”… Criticizing others on their work is very easy. Learn to appreciate others.

Thank you Omer, It was amazing talking to you. Here is his Official Facebook account:

Here is a short Gallery of Images he has captured. They are my personal Favorites. And the fun part is, they are in the most random order so you can see the variation and expertise. Enjoy!

Between black and white,
Between hug and fight,
Between war and life,
Between sight and might,

The world still seems so Bright!

Between love and hate,
Between those burning fates,
Between those fearful mates,
Between those scary sates,

The world still seems so Bright!

Between those shaking fleets,
Between those trembling Skeets,
Between cannon and heats,
Between wounds and cheats,

The world still seems so Bright!

To the Rich and Poor,
To the Hetero and Queer,
To the Happiest and Sufferer,
To the face seems Expresser,

The world still seems so Brighter!
